IP grade waterproof test method for SanAce cooling fan

IP protection grade is to grade electrical appliances according to their characteristics of dust and moisture prevention. The waterproof grade can be divided into 8 grades according to the waterproof effect, and the test methods of the 8 grades are as follows:,

⑴IPX 1

Method name: vertical drip test

Test equipment: drip test device

Sample placement: place the sample on the rotating sample table at 1r/min according to the normal working position of the sample, and the distance from the top of the sample to the dripping mouth shall not be greater than 200mm Test conditions: the amount of dripping water is 10.05 mm/min

Duration: 10 min

 

⑵IPX 2

Method name: inclined 15 ° drip test

Test equipment: drip test device

Specimen placement: make one surface of the specimen form a 15 ° angle with the vertical line, and the distance from the top of the specimen to the drip mouth shall not be greater than 200 mm. After each test, change another face for four times.

Test conditions: water drop is 30.5 mm/min

Duration: 4 × 2.5 min (10 min in total)

 

⑶IPX 3

Method name: water sprinkling test

Test method:

a。 Pendulum type water sprinkling test

Test equipment: swing tube water sprinkling and splashing test device

Sample placement: select a swing tube with an appropriate radius, make the height of the sample table at the position of the diameter of the swing tube, place the sample on the sample table, make the distance from its top to the sample spray nozzle not more than 200 mm, and the sample table will not rotate.

Test conditions: the water flow is calculated according to the number of spray holes in the swing tube, and each hole is 0.07 L/min. When spraying water, the spray holes in 60 ° arc segments on both sides of the swing tube will spray water to the sample. The sample is placed in the center of the semicircle of the pendulum tube.  The pendulum tube swings 60 ° along both sides of the vertical line, a total of 120 °. Each swing (2 × 120 °) about 4s

Test time: continuous sprinkling for 10 min

b。 Sprinkler type water spraying test

Test equipment: hand-held water sprinkling test device

Specimen placement: make the parallel distance between the top of the test and the nozzle of the hand-held nozzle between 300mm and 500mm

Test conditions: the baffle with counterweight shall be installed during the test, and the water flow is 10 L/min

Test time: 1 min per square meter (excluding the installation area) based on the surface area of the tested sample shell, at least 5 min

⑷IPX 4

Method name: water splash test

Test method:

a. Pendulum type water splash test

Test equipment and sample placement: the same as the above IPX 3 paragraph a;

Test conditions: except for the following conditions, they are the same as the above IPX 3 paragraph a; The water spraying area is the water spraying from the water spraying holes in the 90 ° arc segments on both sides of the midpoint of the swing pipe to the sample. The sample is placed in the center of the semicircle of the pendulum tube. The pendulum tube swings 180 ° along both sides of the vertical line, about 360 ° in total. Each swing (2 × 360 °) about 12s

Test time: the same as that of IPX 3 (a) (10 min).

b. Sprinkler type water splash test

Test equipment and sample placement: the same as the above IPX 3 paragraph b;

Test conditions: remove the baffle with counterweight installed on the equipment, and the rest are the same as the above IPX 3 (b);

Test time: The test time is the same as that of IPX 3 (b) above, that is, 1 min per square meter (excluding the installation area) based on the surface area of the tested sample shell, and at least 5 min

⑸IPX 5

Method name: Water spray test

Test equipment: inner diameter of nozzle nozzle is 6.3mm

Test conditions: make the distance between the test sample and the spray nozzle 2.5 m~3 m, and the water flow 12.5 L/min (750 L/h)

Test time: 1 min per square meter (excluding the installation area) calculated according to the surface area of the tested sample shell, at least 3 min

⑹IPX 6

Method name: Strong water spray test;

Test equipment: inner diameter of spray nozzle is 12.5 mm

Test conditions: make the distance between the test sample and the water spray nozzle 2.5 m~3 m, and the water flow 100 L/min (6000 L/h)

Test time: 1 min per square meter (excluding the installation area) calculated according to the surface area of the tested sample shell, at least 3 min

⑺IPX 7

Method name: Short time immersion test

Test equipment and test conditions: immersion tank. The size shall be such that the distance from the bottom of the sample to the water surface is at least 1m after the sample is put into the immersion tank. The distance from the top of the sample to the water surface shall be at least 0.15 m

Test time: 30 min

⑻IPX 8

Method name: continuous diving test;

Test equipment, test conditions and test time: the severity shall be higher than IPX 7 through negotiation between the supplier and the buyer (the seller).
