The three wires and four wires of the cooling fan are the two signals added, namely, the governor signal wire or the temperature measurement signal wire. The three conductors are red, yellow and black, representing 5V, 12V and ground wire respectively. But only the red wire and black wire can work. The 5V connection is fast, and the 12 connection is fast.
The SanAce fan agent informs you that the temperature measurement signal line and the manual governor are actually a variable resistance. When the resistance is set to the minimum (or short circuited with a jumper), the speed of the fan is the lowest, and when the resistance is the maximum (or unplug the jumper), the AC fan runs at full speed. There are two speed regulators in the accessories attached to the cooling fan. Just place the thermistor between the CPU and the heat sink, and then unplug the jumper of the yellow signal line on the fan. The yellow signal line plug of the cooling fan completes the connection of the temperature measurement signal line. In fact, it seems simpler than expected.
The other is the governor signal line, which is connected to the temperature signal. Generally, thermistor is used as the temperature sensor to stop temperature sampling. The temperature change causes the resistance value change of the thermistor. The speed measurement signal of the cooling fan is usually output from the three lead plug. The yellow and black of the three leads are+12V power supply and grounding respectively. The speed signal output from the cooling fan circuit is usually in pulse mode. Each wave head indicates that the fan rotates one circle. In this way, the signal can be directly provided to the host through the data bus to stop displaying, And stop working in this way.
