36 x 36 x 28 mm, 9 HV (high-static-pressure fan)

Sanyo Fans: DC Fans, AC Fans, Waterproof Fans, Long-Life Fans, Sanyo Agent

Category:

DC Fan

Product description

High airflow, high static pressure

Successfully achieved a maximum static pressure of 1,400 Pa and a maximum airflow rate of 0.72 m³/min.

Compared to our company’s previous products※2, the maximum static pressure has increased by a factor of 1.67, and the maximum airflow has increased by a factor of 1.04.

Save space

It delivers cooling performance on par with our company’s previous 40mm※3 fans.

The fan size has been reduced, thereby increasing the freedom of movement within the device.

Low noise, energy-efficient

The fan speed can be externally controlled via the PWM control function, thereby reducing device noise and achieving energy-saving goals.

※1 According to our company’s investigation as of December 13, 2018, these results were obtained by comparing with axial-flow DC fans of the same size.

※2 Previous product from our company: 36-corner × 28 mm thick “San Ace 36” Model 9GX (Model No. 9GX3612P3K001).

※3 Previous products from our company: 40-corner × 28 mm thick “San Ace 40” Type 9HV (Model No. 9HV0412P3K001), Type 9GAX (Part No.: 9GAX0412P3S001).

The fan blades have been lengthened and redesigned using specialized software to ensure greater airflow and higher static pressure during operation. The fan blades are also made from liquid crystal polymer (LCP), a composite material that minimizes vibration to the greatest extent possible even at full rotational speed. The square-shaped fan frame features a newly designed contour that effectively prevents air leakage when installed on the chassis or heatsink during operation.

If necessary, you can even remove the fan blades and rinse them with water. Just dry them thoroughly, then apply the bearing lubricant included in the package as needed.

The in-mold injection-molded shock-absorbing rubber pad can reduce fan vibration, enabling the fan to rotate at a higher speed while maintaining low noise levels. Cooling performance is provided via a quick magnetic connection, allowing you to easily replace fan blades to suit your installation preferences.

Static pressure refers to the fan pressure of a fan coil unit, which is equivalent to the residual pressure outside the unit. It’s a key parameter that indicates the air-conditioning system’s ability to deliver airflow. The higher the static pressure, the greater the airflow lift distance.

In certain specific application scenarios—for example, in air-conditioning systems that use ducted air supply—if the supply air needs to travel through long ducts or if significant pressure losses must be overcome to deliver air over longer distances and meet the ventilation requirements of particular zones, high-static-pressure fans are required.

Compared to conventional fans, high-static-pressure fans can deliver greater air pressure, enabling the airflow to reach farther. However, high-static-pressure fans also have certain characteristics: due to their high external static pressure, the fan blades typically rotate at higher speeds, which may result in relatively higher noise levels.

High-static-pressure fans have a wide range of applications. For example, in central air-conditioning systems, high-static-pressure fan coil units can ensure sufficient airflow and long delivery distances during air supply, thereby effectively regulating the indoor air environment. In certain industrial settings, high-static-pressure fans may also be used to meet the stringent requirements of specific production processes regarding temperature, humidity, and air cleanliness.

When selecting high-static-pressure fans in practice, it is necessary to take into account multiple factors comprehensively, such as the air delivery distance, duct layout, noise requirements, and energy consumption. Meanwhile, high-static-pressure fans from different brands and models may vary in performance and specifications; therefore, it is important to make a rational choice based on specific application needs and installation conditions.

For example, in ducted air-conditioning systems, medium-static-pressure ducted units (4.5 kW to 14.0 kW) can achieve an external static pressure of up to 100 Pa, while high-static-pressure ducted units (16.0 kW to 28.0 kW) can reach an external static pressure of up to 280 Pa. These units offer advantages such as flexible design, free routing of ductwork, and compatibility with a wide variety of room layouts. They are suitable for irregular room shapes—including L-shaped, U-shaped, and narrow, elongated spaces. Moreover, certain models can be optionally equipped with a high-head condensate drainage pump, eliminating restrictions on the installation location of the indoor unit due to drainage distance and enabling easy long-distance condensate drainage.

For example, in agricultural plant protection drones, to address issues such as sensor fouling caused by heavy dust and sand in northern and desert regions, as well as insufficient nozzle pressure due to the deep operational depths in hilly areas, high-static-pressure axial-flow fans like the 9CRH series dual-reverse cooling fans from Yamato can be used, ensuring uniform absorption of pesticide solutions by crops.

Moreover, the air-guide ring featured in the patent application “Air-Deflecting Ring, Axial Fan, and Air Conditioner” filed by Gree Electric Appliances—when applied to an axial fan—can not only ensure that the axial fan maintains a sufficiently safe radial clearance at the blade tips, but also effectively address the issue of leakage losses caused by insufficient radial clearance at the blade tips under high static pressure operating conditions.
